Planning Storyboard: Humira

 

 


Scene #1 - 

The commercial will begin with the actor depicting a patient [patient x] suffering from abdominal pain due to Crohn's disease. The scene will feature this actor standing or walking at first before transitioning to a sitting posture. The actor will be smiling or laughing with someone(s) on/off screen and suddenly be overwhelmed with symptoms of their illness. They will then excuse themselves and walk away to sit down.  This scene will be filmed mostly with full shot and will then gradually reverse zoom or track out. The location of this scene will be my living room, moving from a counter by the kitchen to a lounge chair in a corner. The intent of this scene is to establish the seriousness of the ailment and how it might effect patients in real life.

Scene #2 - 

The next scene will depict several actors laughing while watching a film on the couch in the living room. This scene will slowly pan upwards from a low angle and then pan again from left to right in a full shot. This is the first scene in which the patient is on Humira and has shown drastic improvement in their condition.  

Scene #3 - This scene will include three actors outside on a dock. Patient x actor and another adult actor will be laying on deck chairs when one child actor runs into patient x actor's arms. The actors will then begin to converse excitably and inaudibly. This scene will occur outside on a dock by a waterfront. It will be filmed with a medium long shot and then a medium shot.

Scene #4 - This scene will include two child actors and an adult actor playing with two dogs in the living room. Then patient x will join them and sit on the floor. All of the actors will be smiling and talking with one another. The scene will be filmed in full shot.

Scene #5 - This scene will depict a child actor and patient x actor cooking together in the kitchen. Another adult and child actor will walk into the kitchen and speak to them. Two dogs will also enter the kitchen. This scene will begin as a medium long shot and then transition to a full shot.

Scene #6 - The last scene will depict two child actors, patient x actor and an adult actor beginning a meal at a table together. The scene will involve the two child actors sitting at their seat, one adult actors standing in their place putting food on plates and patient x actor bringing another dish to the table. This scene will be a medium long shot.

**The scenes above will have no diegetic sounds and last around 5 seconds. They will all contain background music and/or a voice over.
