Filming & Editing Blog

Now that the script has been completed, I've coordinate and plan activities with those participating in the film. This includes actors and safety team members. It is important that we take COVID 19 precautions; however, I am not overly concerned as all participants have been cautious and COVID free thus far. As it happens, I have began initial filming processes and shots. Filming proceeded smoothly and almost accidentally. Originally, I did not plan on filming so quickly; however, it happened to work out filming was convenient now. Several scenes have been successful recorded but I haven't finished the vast majority of the filming has not been completed. I plan on filming all the snow related scenes first and then review what still needs to be completed to plan the schedule out. I haven't made any major changes to the story so far. I do have some additional footage recorded that was not in the original plan but I have not decided whether i plan on using it or not. Depending on the results of the editing and of later recording, I may choose to replace or add these scenes. It will also depend on how much of the two minute requirement I have met. There has been one small change. I initially planned on doing filming at a family friend's home but it happened to be that another location worked out better. I may still do some scenes at this house but I did add an additional filming location. I will definitely not change actors due to the fact that shooting has already begun. Thankfully my best friend is available fairly fluidly and is comfortable meeting up. My music choice is not finalized, though I do have some ideas. I plan to review the footage before I make a final decision. I plan on using royalty free music to avoid any additional inconvenience.
