Planning Blog: Title

The opening credits for my film will appear in block text. They will slide in and out of frame from left to right. There will be some exeptions when possible. For example I may write out the text in the enviornment in the scene. For example, in the final scene I plan on writing out the title in the sand. - Working title: my current title is Navier. - The style of the text (those not included in the scene setting) will be block text for the lettering. - The text will slide in quickly slide in from the left and stop in the middle of the frame before sliding to the right, out of frame. - The text will appear for 3-5 seconds. - The text will be bold and all caps. - Depending on the scene, I plan on using black and white block text with slightly lighter or darker position/role titles. - The name of the indivudal will be slightly larger, from 16ppt to 20ppt.

    I plan on shooting a medicine commercial, specifically for Humira. Humira is the brand name for an immunosuppressive drug called Adalimumab. It is used to treat arthritis, plaque psoriasis, ankylosing spondylitis, Crohn's disease, and ulcerative colitis. The commercials for this brand, as well as many of the brands in this industry, strongly imply that taking this medication improves quality of life and personal relationships. Introduction to the Music Video Project

For this project, I plan on working by myself. I chose to do this so that I would not have to correspond and plan with other individuals. I tend to travel around this time of year and to prevent problems with that, working by myself makes sense. I also have a clear understanding of my own abilities so I know what areas to spend more time on and what areas I can do easily. Another reason is that I don't want to have to worry about teammates following through on their parts. Sometimes even the nicest people can be bad teammates in a group project. Due to COVID-19 and the quarantine which prevents us from going to school, I don't know any of my classmates very well and so to solve the problem of bad groupmates, I plan on avoiding them altogether. It also allows me to work at my own pace without worrying about who has to do what. Filming Blog: Music Video

My filming process began Saturday, November 21. This was the first day of the Thanksgiving break and the day that my family and I began our road trip to North Carolina. I chose to film during this time because of the timing of my prior blogs and due to practicality. I was hesitant at first with this process because the footage I had filmed was so wildly different from the contents of M.I.A.'s Paper Plane music video. I was concerned that the difference would cause some issues in how the song was intended to be portrayed. I showed a very different side of the Paper Plane's message by contrasting the lyrics with the images to add emphasis which I hope showed a more personal representation and interpretation. Still, my concerns remain and I may change my song choice in the editing part to fit my scenes better. My footage has scenes from the beginning of my journey all the way to the end.
