Spring Break Filming
At the beginning of spring break, I had planned to finish filming within the week. Unfortunately, this did not happen. Due to visiting extended family, COVID, and other details, I was not able to meet up with my actor to film the additional scenes. I am still missing around half of the scenes from the original storyboard. I did manage to briefly meet my friend for lunch; however, it was not convenient to film the footage at the location. Not only was it a public setting, but we didn't have the props needed to fulfill the scene requirements. I managed to successfully film one scene because it also involved food but it wasn't appropriate to do anything else. Due to background noise, I also have to do a separate voiceover for dialogue on top of the original voiceover. I am now contemplating removing some of the original scenes and replacing them with footage I already have. This way I can begin the editing process. First, I will be reaching out to my main actor to see if she is available this upcoming weekend. If she can make it, than I will likely proceed as planned with minimal changes. If not, I will be forced to adapt to the circumstance and find new solutions. This was likely involved me not personally filming, like asking a family member of the actor to do it on my behalf or changing out some of the scenes. I belive that it is very likely that some of the footage will not match the original storyboard. For example, I have a scene involving a cupboard that will not be making the final cut. For other scenes, which I won't be cutting out entirely, may face some alterations. This includes things like order and location, which will help me film remotely. I will now within the next 48 hours if I can film in person or if I have to plan on employing a family member of my actor. I hope that we could film in person so that I can have control over the scene but I am prepared to compromise due to COVID and other situations.
